GOLF FROM THE CHATEAU

Situated in the beautiful and unspoiled countryside in the heart of the Eure region of Normandy, the Chateau de Houetteville makes an ideal base for golfers of all tastes and abilities. Within an hour or so of easy driving there are 40 eighteen hole courses and at five of those there are special arrangements in place for chateau residents.
The featured courses are presently: the forested Champ de Bataille (15 minutes); the open downland challenge of Golf d'Evreux (15 minutes); the easy walking and enjoyable parkland/tree lined Golf du Vaudreuil (20 minutes); the arborial American- style stunner Le Golf Parc (30 minutes); and the picturesque parkland course of St.Saens (60 minutes, in the middle of the journey from Calais to the Chateau).
At the featured courses, there is a good discount on the already inexpensive green fees and there are exclusive membership options in the pipeline.
Roughly 30 minutes away Rouen boasts a trio of courses: La Foret Verte, Jumieges and Mont St. Aignan.
An hour's drive to the Normandy coast will reveal Golf du Caen, Cabourg le Home, Houlgate, the courses of Deauville, and Golf du Havre. You may also want to go just that bit further on occasion to experience the sea views and cliff-top golf of Omaha Beach and Etretat.
Head inland towards Paris from the chateau and you will find courses such as Le Prieure, Vaucouleurs, Golf National, St.Quentin-en-Yvelines, St.Cloud, St.Germain... the list is almost endless.
I genuinely could not believe my luck when I found out about all the golf courses within a comfortable drive of the chateau, and I will wager that when you begin to experience the fantastic golf on offer you will not believe your luck either!
